Meet Your NeighborMeet your neighbor, Sherri Swanson, who is the new assistant director at the La Harpe Carnegie Library in La Harpe.
Sherri says she is excited to start a new chapter, and help make the library a more vibrant place for the community.
Sherri is originally from Peru, Indiana and graduated from Peru High School in 2006.
She joined the Air Force in 2008, and was stationed at Grissom Air Reserve Base, where she served until 2012.
Sherri's parents, Pat and Jackie Gray, along with her two younger siblings, Madisyn and Wyatt still reside in Peru, Indiana.
Sherri moved to La Harpe in 2012 when she married her husband, Matthew Swanson.
They have three boys Rodney, Blaine, and Elijah.
Rodney and Blaine attend Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Nauvoo, and Elijah spends most days with his grandma Judy Swanson.
Her husband Matthew farms in Hancock County with his father Kyle Swanson and grandfather Rodney Swanson.
Matthew's parents are Kyle and Denise Swanson of La Harpe and he has two sisters and one brother, Alyssa, Tara, and Josh.
Sherri says she enjoys spending time with her family, doing DIY projects, repurposing furniture, reading, shopping at Goodwill, and going on dates with her husband.
