Meet your Illini West Senior Dalton Melvin who competed in Cross Country for the Chargers.
"Cross Country season was okay, but it went by too fast!" Dalton said.
The highlight of Dalton's athletic career was competing at the State Cross Country Meet his Junior year.
His advice to underclassmen is "Don't slack off early in high school like I did. It will affect you in your future!!!"
Dalton's favorite food is steak and his favorite restaurant to eat at is Applebee's
His favorite movie is "Lone Survivor" and he enjoys Heavy Metal music.
Weight Training he says is his favorite subject and his favorite athlete is Kevin Durant.
Dalton's role model is Hunter Labrada.
His future plans is to go into the Army National Guard and then attend college to major in Forensics.
Jap Sherwood of Hamilton is Dalton's dad who is a Harbor pilot for Matteson Marine Services in Burlington, IA. His mother is Devon Melvin who lives in Vandalia.
