Letter to Editor

Dear Editor,

One day last week after returning home we had received a recorded message on our phone. The message warned me that the IRS was beginning to file charges against me and I should call 608-399-9573 immediately.

This was an obvious attempt to scam me as I know for a fact the IRS only contacts citizens through the mail and NOT by phone. I was tempted to call the number and give them a hassle but I decided I'd be better off to let a lying dog keep on lying.

Jens, We had the same phone call a few months ago and called the Sheriff's office and reported it. Then we had it again on Monday. Thank you for your letter. -Dessa
