Recently, George Dowell of Rockford, and his daughters took "The Quill" along while they spent nine days in Panama. They visited Miraflores Locks and the American Cemetery before completing a full transit of the Panama Canal by private boat. Other adventures included a day in the tropical rainforest and traveling up the Chagres River by dugout canoe to visit the indigenous Embera villagers. They toured the ruins of Portobello, Casco Antiquo, and Casco Viejo. Pictured are Valana Dowell, Valisa Star, Valsheria Langley and George Dowell.
