Meet Your Neighbor

Meet your neighbor Skyler Johnson who was born and raised in Fountain Green and now lives in rural La Harpe.

Skyler is the daughter of Ronnie and Tracy Johnson. Ronnie is a farmer and Traci works at Methode

Skyler has an older sister Haeli Johnson who is engaged to Jake Lerdal. Haeli and Jake live in New London, IA. Haeli works at Winegard Company in Burlington, IA.

Skyler's younger brother is Ethan Johnson who works at Chem Gro in La Harpe.

Skyler's grand-parents are Eugene and Betty Johnson of La Harpe and Jack and Bev Ufkes of Carthage.

Skyler attended Illini West High School in Carthage, graduating in 2012. After graduation she attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville for 1 year and then Spoon River College for 1-1/2 years.

She is currently employed at the Rasmussen and Dittmer Law Office as a secretary, having worked there since August of 2015.

Skyler loves working with people and keeping busy. She does document preparation in her job, working with estates, preparing power of attorney papers, and conducting property searches for real estate transactions.

On January 7, 2017 she got engaged to Jacob Howd, who works for his grandfather at John Link Construction.

Both Skyler and her fiancˇ are animal lovers. They enjoy spending every second they can with their dog, Kyro. They also have several cats and a hedgehog. In warm weather they enjoy kayaking.

For the next few months Skyler will be planning her wedding.
