Meet Brock Bigger, of Gladstone, West Central Senior Athlete of the week who was a running back for the Heat football team. "I thought that we had a good stepping stone season for teams to come to West Central for good competition. Coach Kirby has a good relationship with the students and athletes", was what Brock had to say about this year's season. Brock's highlight of his athletic career was defeating Mercer County at their Homecoming game. "It was a tough game against all odds but we still came out ahead", he said. Brock's advice to underclassmen is to, "Take advantage of every chance you get" Brock's favorite restaurant is Casa Fiesta and he likes any kind of food, as he is not a picky eater. He enjoys the movie, "Fast and Furious" likes all kinds of music, and his favorite subject in school is Industrial Arts. His favorite college is University of Wisconsin and Jerome Bettis is Brock's number one athlete. He says his role model is his Grandpa Larry Russell. Brock's future plans are to attend Blackhawk East in Kewanee for two years to gain an Associates Degree and then transfer to WIU for Agriculture Business. Kara Bigger of Gladstone and Joshua Bigger of Oquawka are the parents of Brock Bigger. |
