Raritan Village Board August Meeting

The Raritan Village Board of Trustees met at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room of the Raritan Fire House August 10 with trustees Phil Anders, Rob Williamson, Sammy Blender, Michael Knapp, Yvonne Knapp and Clerk Jim Blender answering roll call.

Clerk Jim Blender called the meeting to order and led the trustees in saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustee Sammy Blender opened with prayer.

President Earl Waller arrived at 7:20 p.m. and the only visitor Jeremy Walters arrived at 7:22 p.m.

Under Old Business the board heard Attorney James request a trustee go with her to court on August 28th at 9:30 a.m. Trustee Yvonne Knapp and Trustee Rob Williamson agreed to go with Attorney James. The board also heard Attorney James has a check for the village from the court.

They board also heard:

• Rod Myers finished the surveying.
• The Travel Ordinance was tabled until the next meeting.

Under New Business the board:

• heard the clerk will be taking the books to the auditor.
• approved the Tax Levy and Annual Appropriation from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.

The board also took the following action:

• approved the July minutes,
• approved the following bills as presented:
• Phil Anders $84.00; Dennis Rankin $196.00;
• Dallas Rural Water $666.63; Ameren IP $1,032.42;
• Waste Management $1,067.60; Blender Mowing $960.00;
• Murphys $160.00; Ray O'Neil $35.00;
• Josiah Boyd $2.50; Illinois Department of Revenue $4.20;
• Rod Myers $665.00.

The board meeting was adjourned to the next regular meeting September 14th at 7:00 p.m..
