The Voting is over for the April 4th Consolidated Election, but according to Kerry Asbridge, Hancock County Clerk's and Election Judge, it will be next week until absentee, early votes, and write-in votes are finalized.
County Clerk Kerry Asbridge reported that out of the county's 12,371 registered voters, 3,971 cast their ballot in this year's election for only 32.08% of the vote. Neighboring Henderson County saw 32.09% come to the polls.
During last year's General Election, there were twice the voters in Hancock County voting with 64.82% of those registered casting a ballot.
LA HARPE
The voting in La Harpe brought 35.59% to the polls in Precinct #1 and $32.01% to the polls in Precinct #2. Out of the total, 321 cast ballots out of 950 registered La Harpe voters with the following results reported:
