Meet your neighbor Travis Winters. Travis was born in Burlington, IA and lived there until 1994 when he moved to rural Stronghurst. Since 2006 he has been living in Raritan.
Travis and his wife Shanna were married in 2009. She is employed at Eagleview. They have three children: Gracey who is in 5th grade at West Central, Kenzley who is pre-K at West Central and Weston who is 2 years old.
Travis' parents are Paul and Debbie Winters. Paul worked at Modern Welding and Debbie worked at the Mt. Pleasant Street bakery
Travis has a brother Chris (Jesse) Winters of Stronghurst. Chris works for Alliant Energy and Jesse is a 4th grade teacher at West Central. Travis has another brother, Jason, who works as an union pipe fitter. Jason lives in Stronghurst.
Travis' grandparents are Jewel Winters of Galesburg and Phyllis Zang of Monmouth.
Travis graduated from Southern in 2004. During high school he was involved in football and FFA.
Travis is the owner of Winter's Electric which was established in 2011. Previously he had been employed with J & M Control Systems as an electrician for 5 years.
He enjoys boating with his family on their pontoon boat. He also enjoys racing figure 8 demos.
Special family vacations are spent working on demos with family and then racing at local county fairs.
His future plans are to continue expanding his business.
