Andrea Fullerton of Oquawka was chosen as the 2016 recipient of the $1000 Henderson County Republican Women's scholarship.
Andrea is the daughter of Cory and Amy Fullerton of Oquawka, and is a senior at West Central High School.
She plans on attending Blackhawk Community College in Moline this fall.
She then plans on transferring to a four year university and graduate school to become a Speech Language Pathologist.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, the applicant must be a Henderson County resident and a senior in high school. The applicant must complete an application, provide a copy of their school transcripts, and submit an essay of 500 words or less on the topic provided in the application.
