After five years of working towards their goal, the Stronghurst Booster Club has brought the Doc Pogue Memorial Spray Park to Stronghurst.
The above ground features are now in place, and more cement has been poured to accommodate the newly painted park benches These benches will skirt the splash pad allowing parents and spectators a close view of their children.
The commemorative sidewalk will be constructed in a couple of weeks. This is a very special sidewalk. Three years ago the Booster Club asked for the community's help in raising the money for this project. They sent letters to every door, business, church, club and organization asking for the purchase of a donation brick.
These bricks represent the people who helped this dream become a reality. Without their commitment to the community, this project would not have taken place.
They know that Doc would have been so proud to see his community achieve this goal. Doctor Pogue was a Booster Club member and a strong supporter of all things that benefited the village.
Saturday, May 28th the Doc Pogue Memorial Spray Park will be dedicated. We hope to see a strong support for this event.

8:00 a.m. Doc Pogue 5-K Run/Walk
9:00 a.m. Breakfast in Shelter House (Free will donation)
10:00 a.m. Dedication Ceremony
11:00 a.m. Official Opening of the Doc Pogue Memorial Spray Park
