Meet your neighbor Mike Davis who was born and raised in Hamilton and has lived in West Burlington, IA since 2001.
Mike's parents are Vic and Judi Davis. Father "Vic" is a retired mechanic and is now an EMT. Mother Judi is a retired special education teacher. They live in Hamilton and have been married 41 years.
Mike's sister is Sara Le Master who lives in Keokuk, IA. She is married with two sons, ages 7 and 10.
Mike's grandmother Myrtle Sewell is still living on a farm near Hamilton. She is 89 years old and remains very active.
Mike graduated from Hamilton High School and then attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, IA. His wife is Mindy and they have been married for about 12 years. Mindy works at GRMC in West Burlington, IA doing CT scans.
The couple have two children. Ellie is 10 years old and is active with piano, dance, Girl Scouts and crafts. Evan is 7 years old and enjoys sports, wrestling.
Mike is a Physical Therapist, previously working 11 years at Great River Medical Center in Burlington, IA and now for 3 1/2 years, works for RehabCare, the leading and premier provider of physical, occupational and speech-language rehabilitation services in 47 states. He is Program Director at Oak Lane Nursing in Stronghurst where they offer outpatient therapy, as well as in-house services.
Mike keeps very active with his church where he is an elder and board member and Sunday School teacher at First Christian Church: Disciples of Christ in Burlington, IA. . He enjoys hunting, sand volleyball, yard work, coaching as well as just "playing" in his garage.
Every summer Mike and his family attend a family reunion in Southern Missouri. They also take a vacation each year in the Ozarks with other families.
"My time with my kids is priceless," Mike said. "This summer the family will take a Disney Cruise."
