The Quill traveled to Washington D.C. on the Quincy sponsored "Honor Flight" with two special U.S. Veterans from La Harpe who served during the Korean Conflict: Claude Collins escorted by his son Bill Collins of La Harpe (left) and Carl Reeder (right) escorted by his son Bryan Reeder of Independence, IA, also veterans on the day long experience. The men enjoyed a 139 motorcycle escort from Bowling Green to the airplane in St. Louis, MO. where cheering crowds greeted the veterans. It was definitely a trip they will always remember with a tear and a smile.
