The Henderson County Fair will be starting in Stronghurst on Sunday, July 24th, with the Queen Pageant at 6:00 p.m. and will continue thru July 30th.
Joe Kane said, "We are not having a carnival at the fair this year, and since the fair is overlapping with the Gladstone Homecoming, we are encouraging people interested in the rides to go there to their free-admission event on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (July 28-29-30)".
However, on Wednesday night, Family Night, there will be Free Admission courtesy of The Bank of Stronghurst.
Kane said, "We will have many games and activities for the kids. We have added a dodgeball tournament, there will be bounce houses for the kids, and we will finish the night with the new Village of Stronghurst Fireworks display at the fairgrounds!"
All this will be happening on Wednesday in addition to the volleyball and baggo tournamnets.
Evening entertainment will include a Tractor Pull on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.; and the FIGURE 8 RACES on Friday and Saturday night beginning at 7:30 p.m.
