The Henderson County Fair Queen Pageant

The Henderson County Fair Queen Pageant is set for July 24, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Henderson County Fairgrounds in Stronghurst. There are 20 beautiful young ladies competing for the title of Little Miss, Jr. Miss and Miss Henderson County Fair. The contestants have been working hard the past month on a dance number, speeches, pop question and stage presence.

The Little Miss contestants are Allison Guyton, Islia Rodeffer, Brooklyn Salyers, Dustie Liggett, Hannah Carnes, Ruby Gittings, Kaylee Mills, Jamie Miller, Madison Gridley and Irelynn Boyle. The Jr. Miss contestants are Kaylynn Hennenfent, Brooklyn Miller, Johanna Sterett, Alexia Kane, and Diana Reyes. The Queen Contestants are Khrystyna Anspach, Tara Forbes, Rachel Lefler, Abigail Steck and Megan Magee. The theme for this years pageant is "Queens of the Jungle".

Khrystyna Anspach is the 18 year old daughter of Gary and Tammy Anspach from Stronghurst. She is currently attending Carl Sandburg College majoring in Biology. Her future plans include attending Bradley University in hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist. Khrystyna is a 2016 graduate of West Central High School.

Tara Forbes is 18 years old and lives in rural Stronghurst. Her parents are Jeff and Krista Forbes. She is a 2016 graduate of Illini West High School. Tara plans to attend Southeastern Community College in the fall for General Studies, she will also be on the Cheer sqad. Tara is employed at Marine Bank and Trust and La Harpe Davier Health Center.

Rachel Lefler is the 17 year old daughter of Mitch and Deb Lefler from Stronghurst. She will be a senior this year at West Central High School. Rachel plans to attend a 4 year University and major in Business. She is active in 4-H, Girl Scouts and Cheerleading. She is employed at the Drake.

Abigail Steck is 17 years old and lives in Carman with her parents Bill and Brenda Steck. Abigail will be a Senior this year at West Central High School. After graduation she plans to attend Iowa State University and double major in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, so she can become a Plant Geneticist.

Megan Magee is the 18 year old daughter of Missy Magee and Donnie Magee. She lives in Smithshire and is a 2016 graduate of West Central High School. She will attend Southeastern Community College in the fall to complete her General Education Studies.
