Meet Your Neighbor

Meet your neighbor and Illini West Senior Kyle Tanner of La Harpe.

Kyle was born in 1997, the son of John and Amy Tanner of La Harpe. Amy is the director of Nursing at the La Harpe Davier Healthcare Center and John is a Journeyman tree trimmer for Shade Tree.

Kyle has two sisters and one brother.

Older sister, Ashley (Sawyer) Flynn lives in La Harpe, and his twin sister, Kelsey Tanner, also a senior at Illini West, lives in La Harpe, and younger brother Tyler attends La Harpe Elementary. Kyle is the grandson of John and Cheryl Pence of La Harpe.

He attended La Harpe Elementary and Junior High schools before attending Illini West.

During his high school career, Kyle has played football all four years, and also some baseball and wrestling.

He is also a volunteer firefighter for the La Harpe Fire Department.

After high school, Kyle plans to attend college at Lincoln Land Community college in Springfield, to pursue the field of Electrical Lineman, and work around, or in the Carthage area.
