First State Bank to Present Annual Ag Strategies Meeting

 First State Bank of Illinois will host Ag Strategies XXIX on Monday evening, January 25, 2016 at the Lake Hill Winery on the west edge of Carthage. Registration and social time will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. with the program to follow. 

This year's speakers will include FBFM Fieldman Bob Rhea and distinguished University of Nebraska  Lincoln professor, Ronald Hanson.

There is no charge to attend the dinner meeting but reservations are required.

Bob Rhea has served the farm financial and tax consulting needs of local farm families for many years and is a regular Ag Strategies presenter. He will roll out his Top 10 Ag Strategies for 2016 and might have a tax tips to share.    

Ron Hanson has been a professor of Agribusiness at the University of Nebraska  Lincoln for most of his 45 year teaching career, earning 31 university and national recognitions. Ron has been honored as the University of Nebraska Educator of the Year. A well-known farm conflict and succession planning counselor and speaker, he will present  Keeping Your Farm in the Family for the Next Generation. .

The evening will also include information on important trends in agriculture, the annual commodity price challenge, door prizes and much more. 

Regular attendees are asked to note the venue.  For the second year, Ag Strategies will be held at the Lake Hill.

Winery located at the west edge of Carthage where the amenities and convenient parking will provide for an enjoyable and relaxing evening.

Anyone with an interest in agriculture is encouraged to attend this dinner meeting.
