Meet your neighbor, Elizabeth "Libby" Browning Olson who was born and raised in La Harpe.

Libby graduated from La Harpe High School in 1966. Her class just celebrated their 50th class reunion.

Libby's parents are the late Luther and Okle (Campbell) Browning.

Libby's sister Carol Boone once had a flower shop, The Flower Nook, in La Harpe, but is now deceased.

Her brother Leon Browning, also now deceased, used to be the Road Commissioner for Durham Township.

Libby's grandparents were Tom and Inez Campbell from the Fountain Green area and George and Ethyl Browning from the Blandinsville area all deceased.

In 1976 Libby married Bill Olson of La Harpe. He passed away in 1996 after retiring from J. I. Case in Burlington, IA where he had worked for 29 years.

Libby's daughter is Tita Duvall who lives in La Harpe with her 14 year old son Dash.

Libby's son Wesley Olson lives in Greenville, near St. Louis, MO. where he is Superintendent at the school there.

His wife Heidi is a teacher and they have two children, Ainsely who is 11 and Augustus who is 8.

Libby has a step-daughter, Melissa Milton, who lives in Vandalia, MO with her husband Todd and their 2 children.

For 32 years Libby was a cook at La Harpe Elementary School and retired from there in May 2016.

She has begun working part time for her niece Rebecca Quivey at the Country Cafe in La Harpe.

Libby is a member of the Grace Bible Church in Dallas City, and she also enjoys attending the Union Church in La Harpe from time to time.

She says she just enjoys life in general.

She and her family enjoy spending time together during the holidays.

Libby's motto for life is: "to just live one day at a time, enjoy life and know that better times are coming if you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior."
