Meet your neighbor Mark Jacob who lives in Carthage.

Mark was born and raised in Burnside and attended Carthage High School.

His parents are Don and Melinda Jacobs of Burnside. They are both retired, but his dad Don still farms.

Mark has 2 brothers, Brian who lives in Davenport, IA and Doug who lives in Carthage. His sister, Kim also lives in Carthage.

Mark graduated from Western Illinois University with a degree in Ag Business in 2005.

Mark worked at the Burnside Elevator through high school and college. In the fall of 2005 he began to work for Rex Johnson.

When Rex Johnson retired, Mark along with, Michael Van Fleet, took over the business, now known as La Moines Valley Ag.

Mark and his wife Allison have 2 children, Hallie, 4 and Garrett, 2. They are expecting their third child in September.

Mark is a member of Burnside Christian Church.

In his free time he enjoys hunting and home improvement.

When asked his future plans Mark said that he will just keep doing what he has been doing.
