On April 7, 2016 at West Burlington, IA, West Central senior and captain of the High School Track Team, Kendra Spiker set a new school record in the long jump.
The original school record was 16 feet 3 inches and Kendra improved that to 16 feet 6 inches.
She has been training non stop to beat this record, and to improve her times in order to obtain a scholarship to Western Illinois University in the fall of 2016.
Kendra plans to study nursing to become a registered nurse and eventually, a nurse practitioner.
