Meet your neighbor, Kilene Haynes, who is a senior this year at West Central High School.
Kilene was born in Galesburg and raised in Stronghurst, the daughter of Heather N. Haynes, who works at Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce and Steven P. Haynes, Henderson County Sheriff.
Her paternal grandparents are Authel Haynes (deceased) and Deloris Haynes of Oquawka. Authel worked at Chicago Bridge and Iron Welder and Deloris as a telephone operator for Northwestern CO.
Kilene's maternal grandparents are Barba Kage, who works at Great River Cat Scans and Jerry Kage, who worked at Vista and is a veteran, Michael Crawford and Becky Crawford, both worked at Illinois Power.
She has two sisters and a brother, Alexandria Reynolds is a CNA, Brody Haynes works for the city of Stronghurst and Adalyn Haynes will soon be starting Pre-K at West Central.
Kilene played basketball her Freshman year.
She has worked at H & H Feed in Stronghurst, Napoli's in Burlington, IA and currently employed at Burlington Country Club in Burlington, IA.
For enjoyment she loves spending time with her friends and family.
Her future plans are to go to SCC for the first two years for Criminal Justice, then go to WIU to finish her last two years.
Kilene's favorite quote is: "Don't wait for the perfect moment take the moment and make it perfect."
Kilene says, "My sister has two wonderful kids. My niece, Burkleigh Dillard, 5 and nephew, William Reynolds that was born in January.
