Holly Willdrick and "The Peaceful Heart"

Holly Willdrick has been in business on La Harpe's downtown Main Street for almost a year.

"The Peaceful Heart" as she calls her small business, is a gift shop, thrift or consignment store in a building she rents along historic East Main Street in La Harpe since May 1, 2015.

It's open 5 days a week and on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. She also schedules appointments for drop-offs or if you need a last minute item.

Holly has no other employees although her mom Virginia Palmer often times helps out.

Her husband, Rob and boys, Bobby and Brody, are also very supportive of her business. She opened her business after her boys were in school. She wanted a flexible schedule so she could work yet still have time to be a mom.

As space allows she would like to expand her business based on feedback from the community as to what they would like to see.

Holly doesn't do business on the Internet but she does have a facebook page on which she posts specials.

She would like to see a business open house or a business after hours, that would spotlight local business and bring new customers into her shop. It would also allow those that work late to check things out.

Her goal for the next ten years is to be able to grow and expand her business in order to offer more options for the community.
