I see in the Quill that our friend, Curt Eisenmayer is turning 90 on March 7th. I'm sure he will be getting scores of cards, some reminding him of just how old he is. It sure is fun to visit with one who has seen so much of life and experienced it in as many ways as Curt has.
In talking with Beryl Sparrow about Lomax's great history, I started worrying that our young people will not hear the great stories like he and his wife Ferne can share about their hometown and neighbors. It is mainly because we are stuck to TV, technology work, activities, you name it, and do not do the visiting that we once were accustomed to in earlier days. We need a reminder to discipline ourselves, and quit the urgent to do the important and go visit loved ones.
Saturday I attended the Children's Theater and saw Little Red Riding Hood. It underlined this same thing, grandmother was missing her grandchild now that she was a "busy" teenager. No excuses now-just take time. P.S. Curt, Madeline Dowell will be 100 on March 8th. Happy birthday to both of you!
