Meet your neighbor and Illini West Senior Shelby Jones of Fountain Green. Shelby was born on September 19, 1997 in Macomb, Illinois. Shelby attended schools in La Harpe elementary through junior high before heading off to Illini West.

Shelby is an only child and the daughter of Kathy Jones of Ft. Green and the late Blaine Jones. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Pauline Jones of La Harpe who are the former owner/operators of the La Harpe Elevator.

Shelby's hobbies include hobbies are photography, collecting vinyl, painting and other forms of art. Her proudest accomplishment in high school was having some of her art in a local art show. Shelby's favorite high school memory was going to Florida to Disney World this last summer with the band. "It was an experience I will never forget." she says.

In high school, Shelby was a member of the band her freshman and sophomore years, and has always been an avid member of the art club.

After graduation in May of 2016, Shelby's plans after high school are to attend college (undecided) and receive her certification to be a Radiology Technologist. She also hopes to travel at some point in her life.
