Meet Your Neighbor

Meet your neighbor Misty Tenenbaum. Misty has lived in Roseville for the past 15 years.

She was born and raised in Monmouth. Her parents are the late Gary Widener and Pam Widener who is now retired from the Monmouth School District. Her grand-parents Robert and Anona Widener and Hillard Phipps are deceased. her grandmother Betty Phipps is a homemaker in Galesburg.

Her sister Mindy Widener Miller lives in Maquon, while her niece Haleigh and nephew Dylan live in Galesburg.

Misty married John Tenenbaum August 27, 2000. He is employed at F & M Bank in Galesburg. They have no children.

Misty graduated from Monmouth High School where she was active in chorus and science club. She did weather reports for WRAM.

She previously worked at DD Homes in Galesburg, at the Best Western Prairie Inn and Conference Center in Galesburg as Guest Services Manager and as Activity Director at the Monmouth Nursing Home. She is currently employed at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst as the new Social Services/Marketing Director.

She is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Monmouth. She enjoys Car Shows and also showing a 1966 Chevy Corvair. She is interested in tracing her family history.

She has always enjoyed going to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and visiting the Smokey Mountains. Someday she would like to visit Germany and see where her ancestors lived.

Her favorite quote is from Walt Disney, "Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age and dreams are forever."

She loves helping others and feels a strong sense of community and family in her job at Oak Lane.
