Sidney Pence

Meet your neighbor and Illini West Senior Sidney Pence of Lomax.

Sidney was born February 4, 1998 at Burlington Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa and has been raised on the family farm outside of Lomax. She is the daughter of Shannon and Felecia Pence.

Shannon is a resource conservationist for the Henderson County Soil and Water District in Stronghurst and Felecia works at the Bank of Stronghurst in the book keeping department.

Sidney is the oldest child of three, sister Taylor is in the eighth grade at La Harpe Junior High school and younger brother Sawyer is in the 5th grade at La Harpe Elementary school.

Sidney is the granddaughter of Larry and Pat Maddox of Burlington, IA, Kevin Shauman and Sandy Pence of Kirkwood and Steve and Julie Pence of Lomax.

Sidney attended both La Harpe Elementary and Junior High. During high school, she has been very active. She has been in volleyball all four years, Key club for two years, International club all four years, FBLA two years, and National Honors Society for two years.

Her favorite high school memories so far have been Friday night football games and homecoming week. This past summer, Sidney received her CNA license from Southeastern Community College.

In her spare time, she loves to hang out with family and friends.

After graduation in May, Sidney plans to attend Western Illinois University to pursue a degree in nursing.
