The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
November 11th to the 24th, 2014, John Huston, and Mary Killey of Roseville, and Mary Jo Scheetz, of Niota, took "The Quill" along to Cuba. They went through a "People to People" program sponsored by the University of Illinois Alumni Association with a group of 38 people. While staying in three of the oldest colonial cities, Camaguey, Cien Fuegos, and Havana, they were able to meet artists, dancers, musicians, and see their works or performances. They heard talks by men in charge of the government's programs for restoration of 18th century buildings and for conservation and preservation of natural resources and wildlife. This picture was taken at the Bay of Pigs. They agree it was an incredible experience. When you go a trip, take "The Quill" along and have your picture taken with it and send it to us. Let's see where all the Quill can travel.
