Meet your West Central Senior, Jacob Wetzel.

Jacob is the son of Dean and Kris Wetzel of Stronghurst.

His grandparents are Ann Wetzel and the late Wendell Wetzel and Lawrence and Marliee Johnson.

Jacob has one brother, Nathan.

Jacob has played golf all four years and finished 59th in the Illinois Boys State Golf Meet, basketball all four years and baseball three years, WYSE team one year, student council one year and class officer for two years.

He is a member of the Stronghurst United Methodist Church.

Jacob plans to attend Bradley University and major in Sports Communication and minor in business, and play on the golf team.

His motto in life is "Hard work never goes unrewarded" and "Would I rather be fear or loved? Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me." - Micheal Scott (The Office)

His advice for underclassmen at West Central is "Take the crap seniors give you and learn from it. Not all of it is bad. You will miss it one day, and you will learn from it, and be seniors one day too."
