4th Of July Oquawka Will Be Having A Parade

Saturday, July 4th:

Help celebrate America's independence by joining the Patriotic Parade in Oquawka.

The theme this year is "America's Woman Defending The Home Land -N- Working For A Military W.W. II Victory!"

Women served in all 5 branches of the United States of America Armed Services. The campaign of "Rosie The Riveter" had women employed in factories building tanks, airplanes, ships, submarines, and jeeps.

The schedule for the parade is as follows:

9:00 a.m. Line-up at Track Field on 8th and Schuyler north of the gas stations. Emergency vehicles, 8th and Schuyler to 8th and Warren (1st block west);

All other parade participants line up from 8th and Warren Streets by Faith Bible Church north to the Track Field.
