Raritan Village Board Meeting

The trustees met in the meeting room of the Raritan Fire House on May 14, 2015 with trustees Sammy Blender, Phil Anders, Rob Williamson, Michael Knapp, Dwayne Magee, Yvonne Knapp, President Earl Waller and Clerk Jim Blender answering roll call. President Waller called the meeting to order and led the trustees in saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustee Blender opened with prayer. On a motion by trustee Magee, seconded by trustee Williamson the minutes were approved as presented. Motion carried.

A motion by trustee Blender, seconded by trustee Williamson passed to approve bills except Dallas Rural Water. When the correct bill is sent, OK to pay. Motion carried.

Jeremy Walters asked why he received 2 letters.

A discussion was held about licensed and unlicensed vehicles. Clerk will contact attorney about matter.

Reported pump house repairs were finished.

Christmas decorations that were ordered are here.

Village signs are done. A motion was made by trustee Blender, seconded by trustee Anders to table until next meeting. Motion carried.

A discussion was held about Ameren IP putting up new light poles in Raritan.

Trustee Yvonne Knapp asked about speed limit in the village. She asked what could be done. She will check into this.

A motion by trustee Michael Knapp, seconded by trustee Blender to put flags up May 22 for Memorial Day at 4:00 p.m. Motion carried.

A motion was made by trustee Magee seconded by trustee Williamson and unanimous approval of the board the meeting was adjourned to the next regular meeting night. Motion carried.
