It may have been raining outside on Saturday, July 11, 2015 but it was sunshine and roses inside for one beautiful young woman as she was crowned The 2015 Henderson County Fair Queen.
And the 2015 Miss Henderson County Fair Queen is...Ashleigh Brown.
Ashleigh has been dreaming of this moment since she was crowned Little Miss Henderson County Fair in 2007 and Jr. Miss Henderson County Fair in 2010.
Ashleigh is the daughter of Joe and Cindy Kane of Little York, she is 18 years old and a recent graduate of United High School. She will be attending Truman State University this fall to obtain a degree as a Speech Pathologist.
Ashleigh is no stranger to the fair as she has been showing her animals and 4H projects there since she was a young child.
Ashleigh wowed the crowd in a stunning blue gown as she gave her 1 minute speech on her love of the fair and what it has taught her. Ashleigh was also awarded Most Photogenic during the pageant.
She was one of 6 young women competing for the title. Miss Henderson County Fair 1st runner-up was Maddy Cooper from Gladstone.
Maddy is the daughter of Scott and Betsy Cooper, she is a 2015 graduate of West Central High School and will be attending SCC this fall to study Nursing.
Maddy also was awarded the Fitness Award during the pageant.
The Director's Award was giving to Cassie Campbell. Cassie is 19 years old and lives in Little York. She is currently attending Kansas State University majoring in Agriculture.
Cassie inspired the Pageant Directors with her love and commitment for her community, the fair and the agricultural industry.
There were 6 adorable little ladies who competed for the title of Little Miss Henderson County Fair.
The Director's Award was given to Alisan Guyton. Alisan is the 6 year old daughter of Jason and Amanda Guyton of Biggsville.
Most Photogenic and 1st Runner-up was awarded to Alexia Kane. Alexia is the 8 year old daughter of Bryan and Amanda Kane of Stronghurst.
And the 2015 Little Miss Henderson County Fair is...Rose Leary. Rose is the 7 year old daughter of Aaron and Sara Leary of Little York. Rose enjoys showing her animals at the fair and loves to play with her sister Rachel.
Six beautiful young ladies competed for the title of Jr. Miss Henderson County Fair.
Most Photogenic was awarded to Kendra Cole. Kendra is the daughter of Brett Cole of Media and Jana and Craig Cozadd of Monmouth. Kendra is 13 years old and wants to be a dentist when she grows up.
Director's Award and 1st Runner-Up was awarded to Kaylynn Hennenfent. Kaylynn is the 10 year old daughter of John and Jackie Hennenfent of Gladstone. Kaylynn gave her speech on her love of being a competitive cheerleader.
And the 2015 Jr. Miss Henderson County Fair is... Reagan Spence. Reagan is the 12 year old daughter of Jackie and Bryan Spence of Monmouth. Reagan wants to be a nurse when she grows up and loves to dance, travel and archery.
