Meet your neighbor Rebecca Quivey of La Harpe.
Rebecca was born in the Carthage Hospital and was reared in La Harpe and attended La Harpe schools.
She is the daughter of Larry and the late Carol Boone. Larry recently moved back from Marshfield, Missouri to La Harpe.
She married Max Quivey on December 26, 1998. Max works at the Fun City and Catfish Bend Hotel in Burlington, Iowa.
Rebecca and Max have 4 children. A son, Adam Willey with wife Janet live in Shorewood.
A daughter, Carolyn Willey and family live in La Harpe. A second daughter, Megan Smith and husband Mike live in Colchester, and another son Ryan Quivey and family live in La Crosse.
Rebecca has one brother, Scott Boone and his family who live in St. Louis, MO and one sister, Brenda Burt and family who live in Disco.
Rebecca is the owner and operator of the Country Café that is next to the Hancock County Quill office in La Harpe. Her popular restaurant business will be four years-old in November.
Before the Country Cafe, Rebecca worked at Ritter's Florist and Garden Center in West Burlington, Iowa for 13 years as lead designer and floral department manager. She also had spent four years in Florida managing Arby's Restaurants.
Rebecca appreciates all the support she has been given by the La Harpe community since she left her job at Ritters. Being in La Harpe in the restaurant business was a risk she has always wanted to take and she looks forward in serving La Harpe for many years to come. When Rebecca is not cooking, she enjoys mushrooming, or hunting and being outdoors.
Rebecca enjoys being a volunteer with the Love La Harpe group.
