Enjoys Reunion at 80th Party

Saturday, January 24th, at the 80th Birthday Open House of Virginia Rich of La Harpe, it was an extra treat to find four of the six classmates who attended a country school together were in attendance. The gathering was at the La Harpe Christian Church and consisted from left: Bette June (Rice) Mapes, Wayne Lynn Burkhart, Virginia (Rodeffer) Rich, and Betty (Rodeffer) Olson. The other two classmates are deceased.

Bette said, "In the year 1950, we all attended a one room country school together called "Alma Mater School" that sat along the Disco black top road. This is the 1st time ever we have been together! There was a lot of reminiscing going on. One said, "We all lived with in a mile from each other and the school." Another one laughed and said, "Wow!! How awesome! Good ole Alma Mater School. You and I had to ride the bus almost an hour to get there though."
