Meet your neighbor and Illini West Senior Wyatt Newberry of the Carthage/Dallas City area.

Wyatt was born on January 15, 1997 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Margaret Bolen of Carthage and Andrew Newberry of Dallas City.

Margaret works at Methode Electronics and Andrew works for Diamond Vogel Paints.

Wyatt has one brother and two sisters.

His older brother Sam Newberry is a junior at Marquette University.

His younger sister Michaela Toboso is a junior at Illini West and another of his sisters, Angie Toboso, lives in sunny California.

Wyatt is the grandson of Jerry and Darla Newberry and of Kathy and the late Fritz Hoemann, all of Dallas City.

Wyatt is a former employee of the Dairy Queen in Carthage.

At Illini West, he is an Illinois State Scholar, was the Marine Bank Senior of the Month, and is on the West Central Conference Quiz bowl All Conference Team.

In his spare time, Wyatt enjoys technology, movies, socializing and school activities.

He is involved with the National Honor Society, ICTM Math, Cross Country, WYSE, Quiz Bowl, Robotics Club, Heart Ministry Youth Group, Parent-Teacher Advisory committee, and was a Memorial Hospital IT department volunteer.

His most memorable vacation was going to New York City over Christmas break with a friend.

After graduation in May of 2015, Wyatt plans to further his education by attending the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, to study computer engineering.
