Stronghurst Booster Club Will Move Forward with Spray Park

The Stronghurst Booster Club held their February 2nd meeting at the Stronghurst Fire Station with President Jim Blender calling the meeting to order.

At the beginning of the meeting, all joined together in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

ĄProject Robert Pogue Memorial Spray Park:

Sadly, the Robert Pogue Memorial Spray Park committee reported that they did not receive the grant they had applied for and would have helped them complete their larger project. They were told that they could reapply for the grant in May if the group chooses to do so.

From start to finish of constructing the Spray Park, it was reported it will take 4 months after the contract is signed.

The group will have to adjust their plans to fit their budget of funds available.

Jim Blender moved to proceed with plans for the spray park. Diana Taylor seconded the motion. The motion carried.

After the January minutes and the Treasurer's report were approved and the Spray Park discussed, the board discussed the following:

The next meeting will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Stronghurst Fire Station.

The Booster Club board members present at the Monday meeting, along with President Jim Blender were: Diana Taylor, Lori (Hamilton) Taylor, Jerry Keimig, Yvonne Knapp, Melinda Whiteman and Jade Parker.
