Meet your neighbor and Illini West graduate Lorrie Johnson of La Harpe.

Lorrie graduated from Illini West in December of 2015 and is the daughter of Darrin and Shirley Johnson of La Harpe. Darrin is a truck driver.

Lorrie was born on June 23, 1998 in Iowa City, Iowa and raised in La Harpe.

She has a twin sister, Jessica Johnson, also of La Harpe. Jessica is a senior at Illini West.

Lorrie is the granddaughter of Kathryn Russell of Lomax, Bob Russell of La Harpe, and Betty and the late J. W. Johnson of rural Dallas City.

Kathryn and Bob owned a jewelry store and a restaurant in La Harpe for 10 years before driving a semi-truck.

J.W. was also a semi driver and Betty was a stay at home mom.

Lorrie attended La Harpe Elementary and Junior High schools before attending high school at Illini West.

Her favorite high school memory was when Mr. Lafferty did the Down by the River skit.

In her spare time, Lorrie enjoys spending time with her family and friends and helping her grandma bake.

She also likes to draw and paint, and help her boyfriend with all of the farm animals.

Lorrie plans to attend John Wood Community College in the fall of 2016 and become a Veterinarian Technician.
