Meet Your Neighbor

Meet your neighbor and new La Harpe Preschool teacher Larissa Storm of Carthage. Larissa was born and raised in McHenry.

She is the daughter of Cheryl Storm of Macomb. Cheryl works as support staff for Mosaic in Macomb. Larissa is the granddaughter of Marjorie Hendly, who lived in Huntington, Indiana. Marjorie worked as a bookkeeper for the Fort Wayne Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center.

Larissa graduated from McHenry West High School in 2009 and from Western Illinois University in 2013. She has previously worked for Hamilton Elementary school and Kiddie Campus, Inc.

Larissa is engaged to Dustin Berg, 28 who grew up in Basco. Dustin is the Executive Director for the Hancock County Economic Development Corporation.

Larissa was in dance, (ballet, tap, jazz, etc.) for 18 years. When she was younger, she enjoyed weeklong visits to her grandma s.

In her spare time, Larissa enjoys reading (a lot!!), drawing, traveling, and anything where she can be creative.

Larissa is a member of Love La Harpe.

Larissa says, I am excited to be working in La Harpe.  I look forward to getting to know more people in the area!
