At the regular meeting of the Village of Biggsville on August 5th, the board determined they will be charging a 10% late fee on all overdue water bills.
Brian will look into getting a box for the outside of the community building to pay the water bill.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Nanci Sterett made a motion to accept the minutes, treasurer report and outstanding invoices. Diane Gonzalez 2nd motion carried.
The resurfacing of the streets has been arranged and will be done in about a month. James said he had some more patching to do before they could start.
Plate is going to do the water and sewer for the ambulance building.
There was a ten team ballgame at the ballpark on Saturday August 8. The proceeds will go to the resurrection of the ballpark. It was all day starting at nine. The parks committee along with some volunteers from Gladstone have done a lot of work on the grounds. There is a need for a new scoreboard. The pavilion needs to be repainted and fixed up. We also need a water pressure machine to wash the tables and pavilion.
Diane will check into arranging for a parade to be on the same day as the 5k walk and city wide garage sale.
If anyone wants chickens in the Village of Biggsville they will have to get a variance from the Village Board.
A golf cart ordinance will be discussed at the next meeting.
A residence has complained about a vacated home across from their property that needs to be addressed. It is a safety hazard.
Nanci made a motion to adjourn at 9 p.m. Kevin 2nd motion carried.
