Meet Your Neighbor

Meet your neighbor and Illini West Senior Tonya Hood of Dallas City.

Tonya was born at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, and raised in La Harpe until she moved to Dallas City her Freshman year of high school at Illini West.

Tonya is the daughter of Richard and Cherady Hood.

Her mother Cherady works in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and her father, Richard works at Lake Argyle in Colchester.

Tonya has one younger sister, Raelee, who is in the eighth grade at Dallas City Elementary School.

Tonya is the granddaughter of Dwayne and the late Naomi Hiland, and Lupe and the late Dorothy Ramirez all of Macomb.

Tonya says her favorite memories are spending time with her grandmother.

After high school, Tonya plans to attend Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and major in either Elementary Education or Nur sing.
