Meet your neighbor and Illini West Senior Hayley Driskell of Carthage.
Hayley is the daughter of Pam Driskell and Ray Driskell, both of Carthage. Ray is the assistant principal at Brown County High school.
Hayley lived in Hamilton until the third grade, and then they moved to Elmwood and in 4th grade, the family moved to Carthage.
Hayley's brother, Nick is 20 and attends Black Hawk East Community College in Kewanee, where he plays basketball. Haley's sister, Brooke is 16 and a sophomore at Illini West.
Hayley is the granddaughter of Donald "Red" Driskell of Blandinsville and Lois Rowan of Loves Park.
Hayley has been very active in her high school career as a member of Band, Key Club, Cross Country, the school musical, International Club, Flag Corps, Heart Ministry Youth Group, and the Git-R-Done Club. She was Flag Corps captain this year, band section leader, cross country captain, and was named to the West Central Conference Honors Band.
Hayley's hobbies include playing tennis, playing piano, listening to music, reading-especially Harry Potter books, and hanging out with friends.
She has worked at Hardee's for a year and a half and recently just started working at Alfano's as well.
After graduation in May, Hayley plans to attend Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield and then transfer to a 4 year university to pursue a degree in music therapy. She hopes to become a music therapist.
