I am not writing to make anyone worry but fall is a busy time with farm families in the fields and much harvesting going on.
It also gives leave-way to the crooked folks who want to help themselves to a few items on your property.
A mile and half south of Kirkwood on the Smithshire blacktop, guns and tools and the like were lifted from a machine shed while a farmer was in the field.
It's also a time when tools disappear that are laying in the field to utilize later.
Please take time to notice who is driving up and down your roads.
Jot down license plates if you don't recognize them in that way you have something to go on if a robbery happens to you or your neighbor.
