Meet your neighbor and Illini West senior Austin Curfman of Carthage.
Austin is the son of Heather and David Curfman. He was born in Keokuk, Iowa and raised in Carthage. Heather works at Carthage Vet service and David works at Griffin Wheel in Keokuk, IA.
Austin has two brothers and one sister. He is the grandson of Jack and Diana Curfman of Carthage and Leland Robinson and Tammy Dobbins of Keokuk, IA.
He works at Hardee's and Carthage Vet Service. He has worked at the vet service for 2 years and at Hardee's for 2 months.
Austin participates in football and track and enjoys snowboarding and playing guitar. He was named First Team All-Conference as a junior running back last year. His favorite high school memory is Prom 2014.
Austin's plans after high school include going to Western Illinois University or Missouri-Columbia to study psychology and criminal justice to pursue his goal of working in law enforcement.
