Meet your neighbor Kimberly Hardisty-Perry of La Harpe.

Kim was born at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb on March 27, 1968 to Eldon and Nancy Hardisty.

Eldon retired from Norcross in Bushnell after working there for 40+ years and now helps Roger Brew farm. Nancy is retired also and was an in home health aid.

Kim grew up in Good Hope and attended schools at Good Hope, Northwestern Junior High and Northwestern High School before moving to La Harpe and attending La Harpe High school and graduating from there in 1986. Kim graduated from Southeastern Community College in 1988.

She has two brothers, Larry (Bonnie) Hardisty lives in Manito. Larry works for Hull Trucking in Mason City and Bonnie babysits the grandkids.

Larry has 3 boys, Derek (27), Corey (25) and Darryl (20). Younger brother, Lynn lives in La Harpe with his wife Dawn, and their two sons, Lane (15) and Cody (11). Lynn works at ADM in Bushnell and Dawn works at MDH in Macomb.

Kim married Wes Perry August 24, 1994, but they later divorced in 2007. Born to them was their daughter, Ashley (18). Ashley attended La Harpe schools and graduated from Illini West in 2014.

Kim is now engaged to Mike Mershon of La Harpe.

She is the granddaughter of the late Wayne and Florence Hardisty of Bushnell and the late Jim and Alleyne Foster of Macomb.

Kim works for Shearer Foods, formerly Vista Bakery. She has worked there for 24 years. Before that she worked at Deb's Blossom Shop.

In her spare time, Kim enjoys softball and volleyball. She loves working outside and spending time with her family.

Her favorite vacation memories are going to Florida in 2011 with Ashley and she would love to go again.

She also enjoys camping, that is a mini vacation to her. And she enjoys The Landing in Missouri.
