La Harpe Council Discusses Bids and City Improvements

The La Harpe City council met on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the La Harpe City Hall. All council members were present as well as Dan Gillett, Tim Graves, Dave Little, Wayne Humphrey, Eric Moe, Police Chief Justin Livingston, Doug Endres, and Christy Kienast.

Eric Moe told the council that he had a pre-construction meeting with the contractors for the intersection work. The work has been pushed back until the beginning of September due to the relocation of a couple of power poles.

A bid to inspect the inside of the water tower without draining it has been received by Eric Moe. Eric is going to get another bid from another company.

A motion was passed to pay half the bill for the sidewalk at Banks and Beals funeral home. As with other sidewalks, the homeowner or business owner needs to get one or if possible two bids for sidewalk replacement and give them to the council for consideration.

Wayne Humphrey has been replacing culverts around town.

After the scheduled meeting, the council moved into executive session without stating the purpose.
