The presentation of the National Association of EMS Educators 2014 Hero Awards commenced during the Opening Session at the 19th Annual NAEMSE Educator Symposium & Trade Show in Reno, NV on Friday, September 19th, 2014.
NAEMSE honored James "Jim" Drozdz from Hamilton, Illinois with a Fallen Hero Award, which was created to honor individuals in EMS Education who, though no longer with us, had an incredible impact on the EMS education community.
Mr. Drozdz worked for Hancock County EMS in multiple capacities and was the Hancock County State's Attorney when he passed away on December 29th, 2013.
The Fallen Hero Award was received by his wife, Barb Drozdz, at the NAEMSE Symposium in Reno, NV.
