At the regular meeting of the Village of Stronghurst board on Monday, March 4th, the trustees voted unanimously to purchase a 2013 F550 truck for $60,812.
In a discussion concerning cleaning the streets during snowstorms Ronnie Gittings said while he appreciated individuals help it sometimes created a problem because they did not know where the water meter covers etc. are and sometimes they get damaged. They were unable to come up with a good solution for getting Broadway Street totally cleared in a timely fashion since people who lives in the apartments have their cars parked on the street.
The police report for February included: 102.5 hours worked; 644 squad car miles; 3 traffic stops; 3 verbal warnings; 4 service calls; 1 agency assist; and 18 business courtesy checks
In other business:
Present were: Trustees, Mike Bohnenkamp, Deb Hale, Amanda Kane, Tony Anderson, David Vancil, and Brendan Schaley; Employees, Lou Ann Nortrup, Attorney Bill Rasmussen; Guests, Fern Fude and Shirley Linder. Mayor Eric Chockley was absent and Mike Bohnenkamp presided over the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8 p.m. until Monday, April 1, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
