Meet your neighbor Lisa Kost Long of Blandinsville.

Lisa was born at Memorial Hospital in Carthage in 1973 and was raised on a farm outside of Carthage.

She is the daughter of the late Wayne and Marilyn Kost. She has one brother, Michael Kost and two sisters, Melissa Huls and Amy Kost. She also has two nieces, Mikayla Wilson and Sara Kost and one nephew, Teagan Huls.

Lisa was in the last graduating class of Plymouth High School in 1992. She attended Carl Sandberg College from 1992-1994. She has been an Avon representative since 2004.

Lisa is married to Larry Long, who grew up in La Harpe and Blandinsville. They were married on March 3, 2009 in Las Vegas. Larry is the postmaster at the Carman Post office.

She had a health scare on June 2, 2012 with large multiple bloods clots in both of her lungs. She feels very grateful to be alive.

Lisa and Larry love to travel, going to Nascar races and enjoys going to concerts.
