Hello Reader's. Happy 4th of July to all of you! Hopefully the weather stays nice so we can enjoy some fireworks!
So Kevin had to go to Des Moines for a mini boot camp thing for the Marines. He was only gone for one day and I was getting sad! I kept thinking "Oh I need to call Kevin and tell him this", and then I would remember I couldn't talk to him and I did not like it! Remember, that it was only ONE NIGHT!
I don't have any idea what I am going to do when he leaves for boot camp and the only way we can communicate for three months is through letters. I am sure I am going to write him everyday because I will always have something to tell him! The hard part will be going from seeing each other every single day and talking whenever we want to checking the mail every single day and praying I have a letter from him. Technology has spoiled us so much with being able to text, call, and even video chat. Too bad the Marines won't let you do any of that. So I guess writing will become my new favorite hobby!
Don't get me wrong, because I am so proud of what he is doing and totally support him 110%, but I guess I don't want to share him with the Marines. I know I have to, but I am not all that excited about it.
I know I have said it over, and over, and over again, but cherishing the time you have with special people in your life has never meant more to me. Appreciate every single moment that you have with your loved ones.
Well all this Marine talk hopefully brings out your American spirit! Have a safe 4th and remember that we are celebrating our Independence!
