Autumn Jeanine Carianna Markley was born on September 26, 1994. She lived in Macomb until she was two and then they moved to Carthage.
Autumn is the daughter of Trish and Jerry Markley. Trish worked at the Terrace in Carthage, but is currently a stay at home mom. Jerry worked at Western for 30 years as a chief broadcast engineer. He is now retired.
She has one brother and three sisters.
Max Adam Markley is 12 years old and is in 7th grade at Carthage Middle school. His birthday is December 16.
Aubrey Elizabeth Caroline Markley is 20 years old. Aubrey went to modeling school and took courses at Carl Sandburg College in Carthage. She is going to Colorado to work with her aunt in her record store.
Aria Abigail Christine Markley is 2, and was born on December 17.
Older sister, Teresa Markley works at Western Illinois University.
Autumn’s grandma works at the Keokuk hospital and lives in Carthage. Her grandpa lives in Arizona with his wife, Sharon.
She has been very busy during her high school career. She is in band, Student Council, Key Club, Treasurer of FBLA, Vice President of SADD, West Central Honors band, Cheerleading, Tack, International Club, Git R Done Club.
Autumn also helps with PALS at the primary school and also works at Krista Artman’s day care and Subway.
She was on the homecoming court, is on the high honor roll, and West Central band. She also takes tumbling classes at Dana’s Dance and Tumbling in Keokuk, IA. She enjoys working with kids, hanging out with friends and going to all of the sporting events she can during high school.
Her favorite vacation memories are going to Arizona every summer to visit her Grandpa. They have been to White Sands, Roswell, and Tombstone.
She has been to Disneyland in California twice with her family and Disney World in Florida with the band. Her family has also been to Tennessee a couple of times to visit her aunt and uncle.
Autumn's favorite moments in high school are hanging out with friends, movie nights, trips to Mediapolis, IA and sleepovers at McKenney's after games, homecomings and prom.
After high school, Autumn plans to go to a four year college, either Monmouth or University of Illinois, having received scholarships from both schools for her grades and ACT scores.
She wants to major in elementary education and minor in either business or psychology. Her desire is to work at a low income school where she can work with and encourage students who need positive role models in their lives.
