Hello my wonderful readers! How is your week so far? Can you believe we are already in the second week of August?! Where does the time go? Summer went by in a blink of an eye.
This weekend should be a super exciting one because all of my mom's brothers and sisters are coming home! Some of them haven't been home in almost 5 years! It should be a great weekend. Around 20 grandchildren running around Grandmas house.
My Grandma has always been a fun one and always wants to make sure all the grand kids have something fun to do while they visit. She just invested in a trampoline and recruited Drew (my brother) and myself to set it up.
Now I thought that maybe we had to set up some bars and then hook all the springs and be done. I was very wrong. We opened the box and there were more parts to this trampoline then I could even imagine.
A little rain, a couple backwards poles, and almost getting pinched by springs, we finally had the trampoline up.
Of course, Drew and I had to test it out to make sure it was safe enough for all the children to jump on, not saying I didn't have fun, though!
Family is so important, even if you don't see them for a couple weeks, months, or even years! I can not express how excited I am for this weekend and how great it will be to have some quality family time.
Grandma's house will be quite chaotic, but it will definitely be a good and fun chaotic.
I am sure I will have some fun stories for you all after this weekend so don't miss my column next week! Have a great week everyone and enjoy your last few weeks of summer!
